First blog - first part
This will be my first overseas trip (I don't count my cruises to Jamaica, Guatemala, Belize, and Mexico). I wanted to set up a blog for the trip itself (Nov/Dec, 2014), but part of the experience that I enjoy is planning out a vacation. So I am including the planning stages, plus it will help me get use to this blogging experience. Also, being my first blog, it will give me time to mess around with settings and get comfortable with this site.Why Japan?
This trip is for my son. He taught himself Japanese and loves the culture. I want him to see it firsthand. His dream is to serve as a volunteer at the branch office of Jehovah's Witnesses just outside Tokyo, Japan. I think this trip will help him clarify this goal of his.
This trip has been a challenge to plan, which makes it very exciting for me. Of course, I'm learning a lot about Japan.
I was planning on sharing more on the first post, but I need to post this soon. I hope to buy my flight from LAX to Japan later today!!

I bought my tickets to fly from LAX to Japan! I buy my tickets to fly to LAX later this month.
